The entire price list
- Monthly fee: $0. No subscription, no tiers, no per-register charge, no setup fee.
- Online sales: 3.5% + 30¢ per order, all-inclusive. Orders through your page and the marketplace. Tavvi covers the card-processing cost out of this, so nothing else comes off an online sale.
- In-person sales: 0.5%. Tap to Pay on iPhone, card reader, QR. This is Tavvi's cut; your card processor (Stripe) charges its own standard card-present rate on top, the same as any reader would.
- Cash sales: $0. Cash never touches Tavvi, so a cash sale costs you nothing in platform fees.
For online sales that percentage is the whole cost, there's no separate card-processing charge stacked on top. In person, Tavvi's 0.5% sits on top of your normal card-processing rate.
The math, on real numbers
- $100 cake ordered through your page → fee $3.80 all-in, you keep $96.20.
- $250 order through your page → fee $9.05 all-in, you keep $240.95.
- $40 lash appointment paid by tap in person → Tavvi takes 20¢; your card processor's standard rate applies on top, the same as any reader.
Compare that to a $60/month POS subscription that bills you even in a slow month, and you'll see why the model works for small operators: when you don't sell, you don't pay.
Fees and refunds
Refund a sale and the fee on it is reversed too, you'll see it as its own line (Fee Refund) in the Money. You don't eat platform fees on money you gave back.
Why online costs more than in person
Online sales ride the whole machine, your public page, the marketplace, checkout, order routing, notifications, and the online fee already covers card processing. In-person is deliberately priced near zero so using Tavvi at the counter never feels like a tax. The honest summary: in-person pricing is how you start, online sales are how Tavvi earns its keep.
Where to see all of it
Every fee is visible per sale in your records, and totals show in your reports, nothing is buried. If a number ever looks off, open the specific transaction in the Money and the breakdown is right there.
