Who gets to review
Reviews here are tied to buying: you review businesses you've actually ordered from. That's why a small business's 4.8 means something, nobody's cousin is padding it, and your review joins a set that's earned.
Write one
Open the finished order, from your Orders history, or from the prompt that appears after an order completes.
Tap your stars. Rating is the one required part, the app will nudge you if you try to send without it.
Say the useful thing in a sentence or two: what you got, whether it matched the photos, how the timing went. Add photos if you have them, a real photo of a real cake outsells five adjectives.
Submit. It shows on the business's page with your rating folded into their average.
What a helpful review sounds like
- "Ordered the two-tier for a birthday, looked exactly like her portfolio, pickup was ready on the dot." Gold: specific, verifiable, useful to the next buyer.
- "Great.", better than nothing, but the stars already said that.
- Had a problem? Say what happened and how the business responded. A calm bad review with facts helps everyone, including the business, more than a furious vague one.
Your reviews, later
Everything you've written lives under My Reviews in your account. You can go back to one, including deleting it if your view changed. If a problem got fixed after you reviewed, updating the review is the fair move and takes a minute.
If something's off
- No review option on an order. Reviews attach to completed orders, an order still in progress or one placed as a guest won't offer it. Finish the order under your account and the option appears.
- You submitted twice by accident / want it gone. My Reviews → open it → delete.
- The business replied to your review. That's a feature, not a confrontation, owners see reviews and can respond. A reply that fixes your issue is a good reason for the update mentioned above.
