One setting, many consequences
Your hours aren't decoration. They decide when your page shows as open, when online ordering accepts and when it politely refuses ("Online orders follow your store hours"), and, if you use it, when your batch closes itself (Store Hours). Set them once, honestly, and three systems start agreeing with reality.
Set them
On the business side, open Settings → Hours, Tax & Workflow.
Business Days, tap the weekdays you actually operate. Untapped days read as closed everywhere.
Opening Time and Closing Time, your daily window. One window for your open days, so set it to the hours you keep most days.
Honest hours beat aspirational hours
- Set the hours you keep, not the hours you wish you kept. A customer who drives to a "open until 6" door that's dark at 5:15 doesn't come back; one who sees "closes at 5" plans around you.
- Home-based and by-appointment? Your "hours" are your response window, when orders and messages can expect you alive. Days off untapped, window honest.
- Late-night spots: a closing time past midnight belongs to the evening's business day, the day runs until you close, and store-hours batch close follows that.
Changing them later
Edit any time; the change is live immediately. For one-off exceptions, a holiday, a market day, the quickest honest lever is the online master switch (Accepting online orders) for the day, since your regular hours stay true for every other week.
If something's off
- Customers say you show as closed when you're open. Check the day is tapped in Business Days and today's time window covers now. Nine of ten cases is an untapped weekday.
- Online orders arrive after close. Orders placed inside the window can still land near the edge, the last order of the day is part of the day. Ordering itself stops once you're outside hours.
- Store-hours batch close isn't available. It needs the hours set first, the app says exactly that (Set store hours first).
