Cookie Policy
Effective Date: May 13, 2026
Last Updated: May 13, 2026
1. What This Policy Covers
This Cookie Policy describes the cookies and similar local-storage technologies the Tavvi website at tavvi.fornaxlink.com uses, why we use them, and how you can control them. Use of the Tavvi mobile app does not involve browser cookies in the traditional sense — for the mobile app's data handling see our Privacy Policy.
2. What a Cookie Is
A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device when you visit. Cookies let the website remember information about your visit, such as your preferred theme variant or whether you have already dismissed a one-time banner. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage in your browser, which we also describe on this page.
3. Cookies Tavvi Uses
3.1 Strictly Necessary
These are required for the site to work. They cannot be disabled in our cookie controls because the site won't function without them.
- Theme variant preference — local storage entry that remembers whether you toggled the navbar to the warm or cool variant. Cleared if you clear your browser data. Lifetime: until you clear it.
- Session security token — set only when you log into a session-bound feature (the admin moderation queue is the current example). Lifetime: until you close the browser tab.
3.2 Analytics
These help us understand how visitors find and use the site so we can make it better. They do not identify you personally — measurements are aggregated.
- Firebase Analytics / Google Analytics 4 — page views, traffic source, device type, time on page. Lifetime: up to 14 months. Provided by Google. Google's analytics privacy controls are at policies.google.com/technologies/cookies.
- PostHog — product analytics for the in-app surfaces that are also accessible from the web (such as the public merchant landing pages). Lifetime: up to 12 months. PostHog's privacy controls are at posthog.com/privacy.
3.3 Third-Party Embedded Content
Tavvi pages sometimes embed content from third parties (Stripe's payment forms, Google Fonts, our content-delivery network). The third party may set its own cookies for fraud detection, font caching, or content delivery. We do not control these cookies. The relevant third-party privacy notices are linked from our Privacy Policy.
3.4 Cookies We Do Not Use
We do not use cookies for advertising, retargeting, or cross-site tracking. We do not sell or share cookie-derived data with advertising networks. We do not participate in real-time bidding for advertising.
4. How to Control Cookies
- Browser settings: Every major browser lets you view, manage, and delete cookies. Look for the "Privacy" or "Site Settings" section of your browser preferences. Blocking strictly-necessary cookies will break parts of the site.
- Analytics opt-out: Install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. PostHog respects the standard Do Not Track header.
- Do Not Track: Our analytics providers honor the Do Not Track header when your browser sends it. Sending DNT will block analytics on Tavvi pages.
- Cookie wipe: Clearing your browser's site data for tavvi.fornaxlink.com removes all cookies and local storage entries we have set on that browser.
5. Changes to This Policy
We may add or remove cookies as the site evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. If we add a new category of cookie that requires consent under applicable law (for example, advertising or marketing cookies — which we do not currently use), we will obtain consent through a banner before setting them.
