Skip the DM dance
The usual way to book a home baker, braider, or mobile detailer is a message thread that stretches across two days: "are you free Thursday?" … "what time?" … "actually can we do Friday?" Booking on their page replaces all of it: you see the times that are genuinely open, you take one, done.
Book a slot
Open the business's page and find Book a slot. If you're not signed in yet, the page asks you to, "Sign in to view availability.", because the calendar shows live availability.
Pick a date to see open slots. The open times for that day appear, these are the business's actual working hours minus what other people already booked. What you see is really available.
Pick your time, leave Your name and Phone number, that's how the business reaches you, and tap Confirm booking.
You'll see "Booking confirmed": "The merchant will reach out to confirm any details.", meaning the slot is yours and the business has your booking on their calendar, with a heads-up that they may text to sort details (address, what you're getting, and so on).
"Slot just taken"?
Someone else confirmed that exact time seconds before you. The page tells you straight, "Someone just booked that slot. Pick another time.", and the slot vanishes so nobody gets double-booked. Annoying for you, but it's the reason your OWN booking can never be given away either. Pick the next time that works.
If something's off
- "No openings on this day.", that day is either their day off or fully booked. Try the surrounding days; popular businesses fill fast.
- No booking section on the page at all. Not every business takes page bookings, storefront shops often run appointments in person instead. Message them through their page.
- Need to change or cancel. Reach out to the business, your phone number is on the booking, and the same channel works both ways. The earlier you flag it, the easier it is for them to refill the slot (and the more they'll love you for it).
